Since his appearance on Ausbiz two weeks ago, Karl Siegling from Cadence Asset Management says the world is now not as worried about interest rates as the US has moderated their language on interest rates. He says that there is talk that China will reopen early next year and that energy and coal prices have recovered after falling violently. Overall, Karl says Cadence is drawn to a theme of investing in things with pricing power, such as energy and resources and also the emergence of other material trades apart from lithium. Karl also discusses Domino’s and Life 360.
Funds management involves a lot of synthesis of information and reading. Over the years we all end up reading many investment books and refer to them from time to time.
The team at Cadence has compiled a list of books that have influenced our investment style, or helped provide insight into the investment process.
Whilst not an exhaustive list, the 10 titles contained in this eBook provide a good starting point for any interested investor.
